Alexis's journey with The Optical Shoppe began as a patient back in 2016. Since then, her passion for eyewear has taken her on an exciting career path within our family.

Starting as a Receptionist, Alexis quickly rose through the ranks to become an essential member of our team as an Optician's Assistant. Under the guidance of our experienced optician, Jamie, Alexis discovered her innate talent for crafting eyewear. She not only enjoys the art of frame styling but also delves deep into the fascinating world of medical optics.

Alexis is driven by a relentless curiosity, and she's at her happiest when learning something new. In the near future, she plans to further enhance her skills and expertise by pursuing her ABO certification.

When she's not caring for the eyewear needs of our valued patients, Alexis enjoys unwinding by watching an Eagles game with a glass of wine and a contented cat on her lap. During the off-season, you'll often find her engrossed in a good book. An avid music lover, don't be surprised if you catch her singing along to her favorite tunes during your next visit.

Alexis's dedication to eyewear and patient care shines through in everything she does. She's not just part of The Optical Shoppe family; she's here to ensure you see the world in style and clarity.

If you've ever heard the warm phrase, "Bless your heart," around here, it's likely Veronica. With family originally rooted in New Orleans, she has called New Jersey her home for over two decades.

Veronica is not just a familiar face; she's a Certified Paraoptometric Assistant (CPOA), certified by the American Optometric Association since 2017. Her dedication to the field is evident in her voluntary work with The Commission on Paraoptometric Certification (CPC), where she contributed to updating the national paraoptometric examination and continuing education materials.

But Veronica's commitment doesn't stop there. She's taken additional courses focusing on critical topics like dry eye and the impact of diabetes on eye health. With almost a decade of experience, Veronica is an undisputed expert in various aspects of eye care, from capturing precise eye photos to ensuring you get the most from your contact lens order, and even handling pretesting.

Veronica is known for her willingness to help. If you have a question, just ask! And if, by a rare chance, she doesn't have the answer, you can count on her to connect you with the best person to assist you.

Outside of work, Veronica wears many hats with grace. You might find her enthusiastically cheering for the Phillies, diving into a good book, whipping up delicious treats in the kitchen, or enjoying quality time with her husband and kids. She even gives herself bonus points for managing to do all these things simultaneously.

Veronica's expertise, warm heart, and unwavering dedication make her an invaluable part of our team, and she's here to ensure your eye care needs are met with the utmost care and professionalism.

Jackie has been a vital part of our team for over a year and a half. Her journey with us began as an intern, a requirement to graduate from her college course. However, it took just two days of interning for her to fall in love with our optical family. Jackie's dedication and passion have made her an invaluable asset, and she's been an integral part of our team ever since.

Jackie proudly holds an Associates in Applied Science from Berkeley College, where she majored in Medical Insurance, Billing, and Coding. Her academic prowess shines through as she graduated with high honors, earning the prestigious distinction of Magna Cum Laude. Post-graduation,  Jackie successfully completed her Certification becoming Billing and Coding Specialist.

With nearly a year of certification under her belt, Jackie is a specialist in deciphering the complex world of insurance deductibles, co-insurance, and copays. She's proficient in liaising with a myriad of insurance providers, ensuring every patient receives the comprehensive coverage they deserve for their eye exams. Jackie is dedicated to providing accurate, up-to-date insurance information to our patients, working tirelessly with both insurance companies and patients to maximize benefits.

Beyond her professional life, Jackie is a versatile individual with a passion for making people feel their best. In her free time, she expertly practices the art of nail care, deriving immense satisfaction from pampering clients with fresh, manicured hands and feet. Family is of paramount importance to her, and she cherishes quality time spent with her five children, often coming together with extended family for cherished gatherings. In addition to her bustling family life, Jackie shares her home with two affectionate Caine Corso/Pitbull Mix dogs.

Kathy is a seasoned medical professional with a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted connection to Philadelphia, where she spent most of her life.

With her personal training certification and expanded functions dental assistant certification, Kathy brings a diverse skill set to our team. She boasts an impressive 30 years of experience in the medical field, making her a true asset to our practice.

Philadelphia holds a special place in Kathy's heart, and she's particularly fond of restaurants that grace the downtown area.

In matters of the heart, Kathy is happily married with three wonderful kids and nine beautiful grandchildren.

Kathy is a perfect blend of health and leisure. She's just as passionate about staying active and working out as she is about indulging in a binge-worthy TV series. Her love for balance is evident in her journey, which led her to Thomas Jefferson University, where she pursued education in billing and coding.
