A native of South Jersey, Dr. Johnson completed her undergraduate studies in three years at Arcadia University in Glenside, PA before being accepted early into optometry school. She was a duel student-athlete participating on both the Women's Lacrosse Team as well as the Women's Soccer Team for Arcadia. She graduated from New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA in 2014. During her time in optometry school, Dr. Johnson's internships & externships included Boston Medical Center's Pediatric Ophthalmology/Optometry Department, Perkins School for the Blind, Jean Yawkey Place for the homeless, Sewells Point Medical Clinic for the US Navy, Newington Veteran Affairs, and several community health centers around the greater Boston area. After graduation she settled in Norfolk, VA with her husband working at a group practice and focused on primary care before returning back home to South Jersey. Outside of work Dr. Johnson is a proud Philadelphia sports fan with three young children. She loves traveling, spinning and lounging in Cape May.
