Fresh into retirement, David is the founder of our amazing shop. He started in the eyecare business when he was just 18 years old at Limeburners in Camden, New Jersey. David opened his own optical in 1978 and the rest is history. In the 42 years since the opening of The Optical Shoppe's first location, better known as David Sharon Opticians, Dave has managed to create a destination experience for adults and children alike. Within the pediatric optical community The Optical Shoppe has become synonymous with being able to help even the most challenging cases. While focusing on providing a level of service unparalleled within the optical industry, Dave has developed a respected reputation with patients as well as the doctors who refer them. While enjoying retirement, Dave is making plans to travel in his RV with his two dogs and grandchildren.
